Worship
At
St. Timothy our worship services center around the Word of God and his
Holy Sacraments. Through our site, you will see many programs
and activities that we offer to nurture the spiritual needs of the
community and our members.
Our
love of Jesus Christ is the strength of our ministry; we recognize that
all people have unique, God-given talents and gifts, and we work
together to help one another discover those gifts and use them for the
glory of God. As a "Family in Faith", we serve Christ through
serving others.

St. Timothy Centering Prayer Group
Centering
or contemplative prayer is an ancient Christian practice involving silent
meditation that is conducted in order to open one's heart and mind to receive
the presence of God. This group meets every Sunday from 7-8pm in the St.
Timothy sanctuary. Participants arrive in silence, contemplate a scripture
reading (lectio divina), spend 20 minutes in seated, silent meditation, and
close with a simple Eucharist service, a labyrinth walk or prayer, before
departing in silence. All persons who seek a more intimate relationship with
God are welcome to attend. For more information, please contact the St. Timothy
church office at (615) 824-6244.
Healing Service Begins in October 2011
Starting
on Sunday, October 30 at 6:30pm, St Timothy will conduct a Service for Healing
on the last Sunday of every month, immediately preceding Centering Prayer. All
are welcome, and invited to meet in the Sanctuary for this brief service which
acknowledges God's healing Word in Christ Jesus. For more information, contact
Vicar Monica Weber.

Re-Introducing our Labyrinth!
Our labyrinth has been restored and is ready for you to experience!
The St. Timothy labyrinth is a 7-circuit
labyrinth patterned after one found in the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna,
Italy. The age of the design is not known but the floor of the church was
re-constructed with this design in the sixteenth century after floods damaged
the church.
For
those of you who may be unfamiliar with the concept of a labyrinth, it
is a way of walking while praying and having a spiritual experience.
There are brochures available in the narthex explaining the history and
etiquette of walking the Labyrinth.
