Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).
WELCA COOKIE WALK
The
annual COOKIE WALK will be held on December 11th. Attention all bakers:
Please sign up on the Kiosk in the Narthex if you can bake for our
Annual Cookie Walk on Sunday, December 11th. Please bring 6 dozen
cookies - or more. Cookies should
be brought to the kitchen on Saturday, December l0th, between 5:l5 and
6:30 pm or on Sunday morning BEFORE 9 a.m. Cookies will be sold before
and after services.
WELCA Christmas Party
All
the ladies of the parish are invited to join us for the Annual WELCA
Christmas Party to be held at Holiday Inn Express in Hendersonville on
Monday, December 5th at 6 pm. Guests are also welcome. Secret Sisters
will come out of hiding with their Christmas gifts and Secret Sisters
for 2012 will be drawn. You are welcome to bring a grab bag gift to
exchange if you don't have a Secret Sister . A catered dinner, good
fellowship and door prizes will complete the evening . Tickets ($12)
will be on sale in the Narthex before and after church services
beginning Sat. Nov.12th and end on Sun. Nov. 27th.
Kroger Card Fundraising Program
WELCA
is once again selling the KROGER CARES PROGRAM gift cards. The cards
are $10.00. They will be sold before and after each service in the
Narthex on Saturday, September 17th and on Sunday, September 18th,
2011. This is a wonderful fundraiser for WELCA and they appreciate your
willingness to participate in this program.
Revenue
from the Kroger gift cards provides some of the funds for our scholarship program, so please
use them often. For more

WELCA Scholarship
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving St. Timothy
youth this summer. The application deadline is June 5, 2011. For more
details, see the May Tidings or the WELCA announcement on the Kiosk in
the Narthex.
 The
WELCA Board meets regularly to plan events and fundraisers for ALL the
women of
St. Timothy. Stay tuned and check back often for more details
on our activities!
