With our church family growing by leaps and bounds,
there are many opportunities to serve and volunteer at St. Timothy!
Please consider volunteering to be an usher. We are in
real need for individuals or couples to help with ushering.
Call or see Jim Dineen and have your name(s) added to our usher
list. Training will be provided before you are assigned.
Everybody
has something to offer! God
is at work in every single one of us.
Road Cleanup - We Need You!
Saturday,
October 1, 2011 we will have our next road cleanup. The weather
is perfect and we all need the exercise! Meet at the back of the
church at 8:00 am. A sign-up sheet is posted on the
kiosk. Thanks!
German Advent Service - December 4, 2011
Following
our very successful 4th German Advent service last year, we will be
holding the 5th Annual German Advent Service this year on the second
Sunday in Advent, December 4, 2011 at 4:00 pm.
Once again,
many volunteers will be needed to put this very special service
together for our church members and the Middle Tennessee community.
Please contact Carol Webster at 826-4408 or e-mail Carol if
you are willing to help! We need ushers, German-speaking lectors (you
know who you are!), musicians of all kinds (including German-speaking
singers), and bakers willing to provide baked goods (German ones
especially!) for the fellowship after the service.
Thank you in advance for your help! We already have people asking about the service, and expect another great turnout this year!
HELP NEEDED Lutheran Services in Tennessee and the Building Healthy Families program
Lutheran Services in Tennessee and the Building Healthy Families
program is in need of child care assistance on Thursday mornings from
9:45 AM-11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Rosa Parks Blvd.
Building Healthy Families is a program for parents in the Cheatham
Place neighborhood. They meet each week to discuss parenting,
nu-trition, finance and spiritual development. If you would be willing
to commit to just one Thursday morning a month, that would be so
helpful to the program!! Please email or call Janet Arning at

Liturgical Service Opportunities
Volunteers are needed for the following positions: Usher, Assisting
Minister, Acolyte and Crucifer. No experience required – training
will be provided!
Please contact Baker Kirkpatrick (452-2903) to usher and Jim Dineen
(414-8370) for the other service positions.
Also, Jay Myers (285-0143) continues to seek additional Choristers and
Bell Ringers. Here’s a chance to give of your Time and Talent for the
greater honor and glory of God by taking an active role in our parish
worship!
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers
are also needed for to teach Sunday school, help with Vacation Bible
School (held in the summers), assist with landscaping, and many other
areas! Your time and talents are valuable to your church
family.
