Handbell Choir
The adult Handbell Choir rings
a 4 octave set of Schulmerich handbells. The
group practices on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. August
through May
under the direction of Jay Myers, and offers their gift of music
regularily at worship.
The handbell choir attends music workshops
annually, bonding in fellowship and musicianship with each other and
other ringers from the south east region.
Help Fund New Handbells!
As the Director of Music I am proud to say that the music
program continues to grow here at St Timothy Lutheran Church. No
exception to this is the hand bell choir. It is so wonderful to see
qualified, dedicated people join our music program. I bring you this
information because we are ready purchase our 5th octave of Schulmerich
hand bells. We need to raise about $3000 so we can purchase the bells
(before the price increase). EVERY DIME COUNTS. There are several ways
you can donate:
1) In honor or in memory of someone;
2) A flat donation of any amount to go toward our total;
3) You could "BUY A BELL", purchase one of the bells separately for the church, or
4) Just go ahead and fund the whole thing.
This would be wonderful and help expand the music ministry of St Timothy Lutheran. Thank you!

New Handbell Choir - Summer 2010
New
Hand bell Choir forming Anyone interested in a "beginning hand bell
choir" please sign up on the Kiosk in the narthex, or contact Jay
Myers. This choir will meet on Wed. evenings at 6:00 pm (if that is
good for everyone). We will work to learn to play hand bells and expect
to play during worship in the summer. The ability to read music
is helpful but not required. This choir is open to all from 7th grade
through adults.
