Bible Study Groups

An evening women's spiritual book study group meets weekly to
accomodate heavy work schedules.
A
men's early morning Bible study takes place at church once a week.
Participants choose what they want to study which ahas
included
Moses' journey, Martin Luther's life, and the three major religions of
the world.
Once a month, a group called "Families in Faith"
meet to discuss raising Christian children. Families take
turns
hosting and providing dinner.
CLC (Christian Leadership
Concepts) is a two year men's study group. The goal is to
develop a closer walk with Christ, and equip men in several
areas
of leadership, such as in the home, in the workplace, at church and
with friends.
Sunshine Girls Circle
Have
you ever wondered how the teachings of the ELCA are the same or differ
from other Christian denominations and other religions of the world? In
September the Sunshine Girls Bible Study will begin a study series
based on the book Honoring Our Neighbors Faith. The book is available
from Amazon for $9.99, or call Karen Kral by August 7th to have your
book included in a group order.
We also hope
to include guest speakers from other denominations, and include
possible visits to a Jewish Synagogue, an Orthodox Church, and the
Hindu Temple in Nashville.
The Sunshine
Girls Bible Study meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to
12:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. On the 3rd Tuesday those who can make
it have been going out to lunch together after class is finished. We
would love to have you join our Bible Study. So if you are interested
please contact Judy Hobbs or Karen Kral so that you can be kept up to
date as to what parts of the book we will be addressing at the first
class on September 6th.
Special Event! The BlueBirds (Seniors) Group will join with the Sunshine Girls
(Women's Study Group) for a visit to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
in Nashville on Tuesday, November 15. We'll meet in the rear church
parking lot at 9:30 and carpool to the church where we will have a
guided tour. Those who wish will have lunch afterward at a restaurant
(to be determined) in the area. Please RSVP to Faye DeFratus at
851-8503 or Karen Kral at 822-0240 by Sunday, November 13.
